Example of Junior Workshop Schedule
This intensive is crafted to elevate your technical proficiency, boost performance confidence, and ignite your passion for ballet.
Whether you’re refining your skills or aspiring to new artistic heights, our workshop provides a supportive, dynamic environment to help you grow and shine.
Studio location: The Ave Studios, 14 Textile Ave, Warana QLD 4575
Day One Saturday 5th of April:
• 8:30–9:00: Registration
All dancers will be registered and shown around the studio.
• 9:00–9:30: Conditioning Class with Meg
All junior dancers will start their day with a conditioning session, warming up with stretching and strengthening exercises.
• 9:30–10:45: Junior Ballet Class with Meg
A specialised ballet class tailored to young dancers, focusing on the fundamentals of ballet class including barre, centre, and allegro work.
• 10:45–11:00: Break
• 11:00–12:15: Focus Class with Meg
An in-depth technical session designed to refine your skills and build a solid foundation for further training. In this class we will break down and give you drills and exercises to help transform your pirouettes, adage and allegro.
• 12:15–12:45: Lunch
• 12:45–2:00: Variation Class with Alfie
Work on an age-appropriate variation and repertoire piece, developing performance quality and artistic expression.
Day Two Sunday 5th of April:
• 9:15–9:30: Registration
• 9:30-10:00 Conditioning Class with Alfie
In this conditioning session, you will start the day by warming up with stretching and strengthening exercises.
• 10:00–11:15: Junior Ballet Class with Alfie
Continue refining your technique in a class focused on barre, centre, and allegro work with a focus on performance quality and precision.
• 11:15–11:30: Break
• 11:30–12:45: Pre-Pointe/Focus Class with Alfie
Build a strong foundation for pointe work with targeted exercises designed to enhance your technique and balance. In the second half of this class we will give you the exercises and drills needed to help improve your extensions.
• 12:45–1:15: Lunch
• 1:15–2:30: Variation Class with Meg
Further develop your variation and repertoire piece before showcasing to parents.
• 2:30–3:00: Variation Showcase & Q&A Session
Conclude the day with a performance showcase, with parents invited to watch. As well as this there will also be a Q&A session with Meg and Alfie—an opportunity for you to gain invaluable insights into the ballet world.

To ensure you stay energised and hydrated throughout the workshop, please bring your own morning tea, lunch, and a water bottle.
